WHAT IS The VANISHING AMERICA PROJECT?
Education is the key. If people don’t know what America is losing, they won’t know that it needs protecting. Using photography as a medium of preservation, I`m traveling across America on veggie oil, with an artist`s eye and camera in hand, capturing those unique aspects of our country and culture that are in danger of disappearing within the next few generations.

THE CAPTAIN PLANET FOUNDATION
The Vanishing America Project is working closely with Ted Turner`s Captain Planet Foundation to help educate children about how precious our world is.
"The mission of the Captain Planet Foundation is to fund and support hands-on, environmental projects for children and youths. Our objective is to encourage innovative programs that empower children and youth around the world to work individually and collectively to solve environmental problems in their neighborhoods and communities. Through environmental education, we believe that children can achieve a better understanding and appreciation for the world in which they live."
